U.S. Chamber of Commerce grows into a political force - latimes.com

The beginning of a new century is aways a time for institutional innovations according to Robert Putnam's work on civic development. Money and its' influence in American politics so far has been the biggest innovation of the 21st Century, I believe, whether you're looking at this Chamber of Commerce effort, the 2008 elections or how the right is funding the teabag movement. Social networking online is probably another critical innovation I should include.
