Official Google Blog: All for Good: Bringing search, scale and openness to community service

Official Google Blog: All for Good: Bringing search, scale and openness to community service

My organization is interested in replicating All for Good model to help 10,000 students, especially minorities and females, become computer science, science, technology, engineering and math) majors and workers
(http://sites.google.com/site/darpara1003/) by:

Expanding an innovative and effective online model, developed by a Chicago-area nonprofit which has engaged thousands of students in international teams through a blend of new technologies;

Building on students’ interest in social networking & online games to teach them to develop social games;

Developing partnerships with place-based and online CS-STEM pre-college programs, clubs and other resources by
replicating Google's All for Good project to provide a single search interface for CS-STEM activities; and

Attracting corporate support to sustain this coalition beyond the initial funding through income earned by helping regional employers partner with local groups to address their CS-STEM critical skills shortages; developing social games to attract 100,000 students to join the website; and working to create other social enterprise ventures.
President Obama has announced a Social Innovation Fund which will begin soliciting proposals, in June where we would like to submit our proposal, again. We will need corporate talent and financial support to put together an effective and competitive proposal.

Thanks for your good work,

Brian
