Announcement from Crowdsourcing for Entrepreneurs and Investors - Local Group Managers Invited Over the past few months members of this group have asked us about setting up and managing a local Crowdsourcing for Entrepreneurs and Investors group . We have been happy to oblige and now have a Florida group, and New Zealand group, a Thailand group, and as of today - a California group. We now (in the spirit of crowdsourcing) would like to expand by enabling any of our members who wish to - to manage a local, regional, or national group. It seems to work best to have more then one manager for each so that no one individual is burdened with needing to monitor the group on a daily basis. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO MANAGE A CROWDSOURCING GROUP? i. CONTACTS: According to member profiles - the group membership seems to be about 20% VCs, 20% Angel Investors, 25% entrepreneurs, and 30% consultants, with many members being in more then one of these categories. If you have an interest in working more closely with any of these kinds of users you would be well positioned to manage a group. ii. INSIDER INFO: by managing a group - you get early notification of any of our own startups being developed internally by the communiiity. Many of these would have business opportunities applicable to your local area. iii. IT'S FREE: There is no money involved from either side - we simply ask that you follow the overall spirit of the group which is to enable and promote crowdsourcing and crowdfunding in all its forms in order to help entrepreneurs launch worthwhile startups. WHAT'S NEXT IF YOU WANT TO GO AHEAD? If you decide you would like to give it a try - just let us know the area you want covered (it can be a country, a state, or a city/town) and we will create the logo, set up the group with some intro content, and give you management rights. We will also help you invite your existing contacts and support you growing the group with any/all the technique we have enables us to become the 3rd largest crowdsourcing group on LinkedIn in our first 3 months of setting up.
