Greetings from Tutor/Mentor Connection!

The Fall 2010 Tutor/Mentor Leadership & Networking Conference in Chicago is just a week away! We have an exciting agenda planned for the day that you will not want to miss!

Friday, November 19, 2010 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (registration begins at 8:00 am)
U.S. Cellular Field (home of the Chicago White Sox) 333 West 35th Street Chicago, IL 60616

This conference will feature workshops and panels on social networking, marketing and branding for nonprofits, using technology to reduce truancy, and much more! Be sure to see the conference agenda, and workshop descriptions for a full preview of what is in store for the day.

We are also excited to be closing the day with a panel discussion on Waiting for Superman, Education Reform, and Non-school Programs. This panel will include Andrew Broy, President of Illinois Network of Charter Schools, Wendy DuBoe, COO of United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, Mark Duhon, Founder & Executive Director of HighSight, Jim O'Connor, Project Director of Advance Illinois (serving as moderator), and Lisa Vahey, Founder of New Teacher Center's Chicago office.

The Tutor/Mentor Leadership & Networking Conferences are part of a 16-year strategy intended to help volunteer-based tutoring/mentoring programs grow in areas where there are too many poorly performing schools, too much violence, and too few programs helping young people stay in school and prepare for 21st century jobs and careers.

We hope to see you there!
