Subscribe Anti-violence project links black and Latino media to spotlight neighborhood efforts For Immediate Release You are invited to the press conference marking a month-long project bringing together Chicago's black and Latino news media. They will be telling stories about the unsung heroes - the neighbors, community groups and organizations - doing their best to improve life amid the violence. WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, 9:30 a.m. WHERE: Saint Michael's Gym, 1986 W. 48th St., corner of 48th and Winchester, Chicago. The project is called We Are Not Alone - No Estamos Solos and its message is that people are making a difference alone and together. The Back of the Yards Council is leading this citywide effort with the help of the Community Media Workshop. You will hear details about the effort and the voices of some of those who are making a difference at the Nov. 10 press conference.
