"Microenterprise in the US?  I had no idea!"

Every day over 700 organizations across the country support entrepreneurs and debunk the myth that microenterprise only happens in developing countries.  But how far can individual voices reach, even those with a megaphone?

Now is your chance to participate in a microenterprise flash mob to help raise the profile and understanding of U.S. microenterprise.  Respond to the 2011 U.S. Microenterprise Census, and be counted!

And, not only will you help the field, you'll raise your profile in it.  Sources as diverse as Communities at Work, Kiva, Opportunity Fund, Minnesota Public Radio, Bloomberg Businessweek, the Los Angeles Times, and Bankrate.com have linked to the 2009 Census' searchable directory of microenterprise programs and referred visitors to programs' data profiles.

The Aspen Institute's FIELD program, in partnership with 16 state and national partners, conducts the U.S. Microenterprise Census, in order to obtain updated, quantitative information on the scope and scale of the industry, and to track the evolution of its products and services.

Your participation in the survey is vital. The online survey has been custom-built as part of our developing microTracker website.  Custom-built means a smarter, faster survey for you.

10 minutes.  Convey the power of the U.S. microenterprise industry today!
